We are always in need of volunteers.  We would like to add many events but we need your help.  Please consider helping in one or more of these areas:

Volunteer Coordinator:

One Person:  We are looking for one person who can be the contact person.  This person will be the one everyone calls when they want to help.  When we need help for an event we can count on this person and know they will hunt down all the people we need.

Watch Group:

A Neighborhood Watch Group is being formed in our neighborhood.  The purpose of a    We are working on developing a call tree to help keep neighbors informed.  This calling tree can then be used to help spread the word when we need volunteers.  Sign up as a “Block Captain” or “Co-Block Captain”. 

Easter Egg Hunt:

Egg Stuffing, 15-20 people needed:  We have many opportunities for volunteers here.  Every year on the Friday night, one week prior to the event we will have the “Egg Stuffing Ceremony”.  About 15-20 volunteers are needed to help fill over 3,000 eggs.  Kids are welcome to come, play or watch a movie.  We order up pizza and stuff eggs till we are done.  Of course we do need to inspect the candy (occasionally, test) to make sure it is safe and not toxic for the children.

Egg Hunt, 4-6 people needed:  On the day of the Easter Egg Hunt we need at least 4 volunteers to help spread out the eggs and help pass out prizes.  Volunteers are also needed to help with the setting up and cleaning up for the pot luck lunch following the egg hunt.

Neighborhood Garage Sale:

We need new signs and more of them.  We are looking for one or two volunteers to make 25-30 wooden signs that would be hinged together for easy storage.  Once the signs are made we need an artistic volunteer to paint them.

National Night Out:

For National Night Out need volunteers to help with passing out door flyers the week prior to the event.  We need volunteers to help with games, serving food, set up and clean up.

Web Site Maintenance:

1 Person:  Our new button “Classifieds” on the web site has been very popular.  We need one person to be the contact person and keep this page updated.

We would love to add numerous events to the neighborhood such as:

Craft Club –          travel to different locations hosted each month; try your hand at beading, scrap booking, knitting or what ever is offered that month

Texas Hold Um – travel to different locations being hosted

Coupon Clippers – are you a penny pincher?  Weekly or monthly group gathers to share shopping tips and exchange coupons.

Earth Day/Neighborhood Clean-up – Many people have requested some kind of neighborhood cleanup in the neighborhood and surrounding areas.  Even possibly add planting flowers in the park and entrances to the neighborhood.
