On May 7th, 2007 the Nelson family lost their daughter Brittany. Brittany was attempting to cross Highway 61 when she was struck by a car. She passed away from the injuries. Many neighbors have asked what we could do as a neighborhood for the family. Donations have been collected for a park bench to be dedicated in Brittany's memory. The Park & Recreation Board has approved our request to dedicate on exisitng park bench in the Clearwater Creek Park to the memory of Brittany. The funds that have been collected will go towards improvements in the park.
